I connected the PWR SW to the PWR SW port on my mobo but PC still doesn’t power up?

I have:
-Antec 500 watt power supply
-Antec Case
-ASUS Extreme Striker Motherboard

Problem:
I connected my Power Supply to my Motherboard, Fans, Ect. and I also connected the PWR SW to the correct port on the motherboard labeled PWR SW and my PC still doesn’t power up.

The MOBO has a Power , Reset , and a clr-cmos button on it.
when I turn my power supply on mobo lights up but fans don’t work and PC wont power on.
Please help me. Thanks in advance )

have you checked your power supply on another computer? ill assume you did.

firstly, have you assembled your mother board correctly? with the plastic nonconductive studs, no screws running around short circuiting?

if you are then the first, thing to try is to remove all cards, drives, other peripherals and try to power the computer on bare boned, if that doesnt work, go further and remove the memory and try again, it should announce that it has no memory…. if even that doesnt work…………..

try resetting the bios, as a last resort, if STILL doesnt then you need a new motherboard.
